Hi there lovely reader! In today’s blogpost I will be sharing all the book series I haven’t finished yet, so these are all of the series I’m in the middle of. And let me tell you, there are a lot of series I still need to finish because I’m awful at finishing series. I’m someone who usually needs a break in between reading books from the same world, so even though I could bingeread a series when all of the books are already out, I barely do that because it often causes a reading slump for me. But if I don’t read a series back to back I tend to forget to continue a series. So basically I suck. So let’s drag myself in this blog post with the many series I still need to finish.

1. The Montague Siblings by Mackenzi Lee
I’ve only read the first book in this series, which is The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue. I absolutely loved that book, but it has been ages since I read it. So I still have the novella, The Gentleman’s Guide to Getting Lucky, and the second novel, The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy, left. The third and final book in this series is also coming out later this year, so I really need to catch up with this series.

2. A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin
I started with reading Game of Thrones back in the summer of 2017. So it has been a very long time. I’ve read the first three book, so it’s defenitely time to read the last two books. Especially since I’ve borrowed these books from my stepsister, so I’ve been borrowing this series for almost 3 years now and that is just ridiculous.

3. The Illuminae Files by Amy Kaufman and Jay Kristof
I only need to read Obsidio, the last book in this series. My plan was to read that book in January, but I never got to the library to borrow it and I was not in the mood back then, so hopefully the library opens up soon again, so I can finally finish this series.

4. An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
I’ve only read the first book in this series and I only started reading this series last summer, so it’s not very ridiculous, but still, just read the rest goddamn! The last book in this series is also coming out later this year, so I can perfectly bingeread this if I feel like it.

5. Grace and Fury by Tracy Banghart
I’ve once again only read the first book in this series last summer, so it’s still okay, right? Or not? Because there is only one book left in this series for me to read, oops…

6. Murdertrending by Gretchen McNeill
This series is the most okay of the entire list. I only read the first book, Murdertrending, two weeks ago. Above that I’ll have to buy book two, Murder Funding, before I can read it and I don’t want to buy physical books right now so it’s fine that this one is on this list.

7. The Diviners by Libba Bray
I consider The Diviners as one of my favourite series, but I haven’t even finished it yet… I loved the first two books in this series, started the third book two months or so ago but I was (and still am) in a fantasy slump so I only read around 100 pages before I had to return it to the library. So I’ll hopefully pick this series up soon to finish it, because the fourth book just came out.
So I have 7 series left to finish, but that equals 13 books, and some of those are huge, so I doubt I’ll finish all of these series in 2020, but a girl can hope right?
What series have you been reading for ages?
Also a little announcement: from now on I’m going to try to do my best to post two blog posts per week: on Wednesday and Saturday at 5 pm CEST.

Die boeken van MacKenzie Lee moet ik ook nog verder lezen. Ik vond de eerste wel echt goed!
